I've looked under the Foliage category before and have checked all new mods coming out since then.A: This is a known issue and appears to be a problem with the meshes. The only three I've heard of are Green, Spring and Regrowth. It quickly turns into load order/crashing/lagging help. Looking at the greenery topics, some of which I was watching at the time, they don't really help with choosing one. This may be why the mod looks better in TwistBL and my opinion, but takes up so much more space. The only way the other two could get their files that size, as far as I know, is to edit what is already in the game, rather than adding to Vanilla resources. If you're wondering about the size of the file, it is more likely that the modder created a lot of their own textures, rather than those already available in the game. It would be nice to know which runs better, and which is friendly with the Reduced Grass mods. On the topic for Green Fallout, would someone please start a Spring time vs Green in the Commonwealth topic so we won't derail this thread? Here's an interesting question, is the Regrowth modder the one who posted that mod? Im not trying to start another "stolen mod" panic but it never hurts to know. I don't really like the trees much in the Springtime Trees mod, but they're still better than Vanilla trees. I have been having crashes with Green and Spring active together (Spring grass and Green's trees) for a while now, but it was rare enough until the most recent update that I could put up with it. I have just switched from Green to Spring/Springtime Trees, as I was having slight instability (crash every hour or so) with Green 2.9 running with Spring. Yes, I was using those mods, but thanks for suggesting them. Theres another mod to that deletes insignificant items that you cant even see that is supposed to increase framerates its much larger than green in the commonwealth, its a little over 60mb i think but thats still drastically smaller than regrowth isĪnother side note were you using reduce godrays, lens flair and reduced grass? Those all are supposed to help with lag. Have you tried using spring time trees with spring in the commonwealth? It adds some nice looking trees. Even if i deleted enough to make room for it id be at my max and have no room for other mods that come out. Unless it get a serious reduction in size i dont think im going to try it. Yeah i totally missed that post some how thanks for checking it out. So I can remove that No Borders mod if I stick with SiTC? On the other hand SiTC adds nicer grass at the Castle and there aren't grass textures growing under water and the birch trees looks very nice. I'll stick with Springtime in the Commonwealth unless someone kindly asks the GiTC MA to reduce the dead trees and added trees (for example the dead tree with green leaves blocking road at that Minutemen statue near Sanctuary and giant tree at Oberland that clips into buildings) ![]() The SiTC seems balanced and uses trees already in the game and the grass, bushes and trees actually sway from the wind and if walked over, sadly, the GiTC adds too many trees in areas I built with dead fallen trees that miraculously has green leaves, and GiTC foliage won't sawy from wind breezes and people walking thru. I tried both Springtime and Green in the Commonwealth, I noticed too much green with GiTC, for example green grass under water, but SiTC grass is too long (I mentioned that a few times) Everyone has there own oppinion your best bet is to just try it out and see for yourself I run the reduced grass mod with it also with no issues. Ive been using the spring time mod all day and have had no issues with it. ![]()
